The Playground Workout
Yes I still read Seventeen Magazine, but hey those 129 pages are gold and filled with health and fitness ideas. While catching up on the latest issue of my guilty pleasure I’m sharing my version of the Playground Workout. Take yourself back to your childhood days where you ruled the playground with these fun, fat busting moves.
Get your workout on at your local park and take the extra stride by walking, jogging or even biking your way to the park. Once you get to your local park follow these easy moves put a little pep in your ordinary workout.
1. For a Perky Butt
Stand in front of a swing, with feet shoulder width apart and your hands on your hips.Place your right leg back onto swing. Bend your left leg into a lunge, and then squeeze your tush as you push back up to straighten your left leg. Repeat for 2 sets of 20 on each leg.
2. For a Flat Tummy
Get in a push up position in front of a swing, with you shoulders directly over your hands and your back flat.Slowly bring your knees into your belly and try to hold for a 3 second count. Slowly return back to your push up position. Repeat for 2 sets of 15.
3. For Tight Legs
Bench Step Ups
Step up with your right leg and push up to stand on one leg, while bringing your left leg up to your stomach to work your core as well.Step back down to change legs and repeat. Repeat for 2 sets of 20 on each leg.
4. For Amazing Arms
Grab the monkey bars and bend your knees up to a 90-degree angle.Swing from bar to bar keeping knees bent for bonus abs benefits. Go back and fourth 4 time for 2 sets.

Whether you’re a soon to be bride looking for a fun way to work out or a mom looking for a simple workout while watching the kids at the park this workout is for anyone. Remember to only do the moves you’re comfortable with and of course stay hydrated at the sunny park.
