Catching Up & Catching Our Breath!

Oh my gosh!  I feel like I haven't blogged about weddings in FOREVER!  It has been a crazy couple of years and I feel like we've been trying to catch our breath this whole time.

My daughter was born a tad early a couple of years ago with complications.  We spent a very stressful 10 days in the NICU right smack dab in the middle of wedding season.  Thank goodness for my very understanding wedding families!  We then went from Dr. to Dr. the next couple of months until we found the answers we were searching for and things seemed to settle a bit.

Then as it seemed we were finally getting back on track, last year my daughter was diagnosed with epilepsy having more than 30 seizures per day.  It was a whirlwind and I barely remember the weeks following.  All the while trying to keep our personal life separate and not letting it effect my work and I didn't want to ruin anyone's important day. It was a tough round.  But, Gigi is a warrior and she pulled through with flying colors.  You may hear more about her as time goes on.  She's definitely the apple of our eye.

So, enough about us.  Here are some fun, crazy and beautiful things we did during that time. Some of our real weddings and fun shoots have already been posted so I skipped over those and got to the cool things I missed.

Super fun Nightmare before Christmas Themed Wedding.  This was a blast and the family was amazing.  I still feel like a member of their family.

This wedding was at the Makki Ballroom at the Crown Point Courthouse, which was the perfect blank canvas for us.  Some of the other amazing wedding vendors included, 27 Entertainment, Krissy V Makeup Artist, and Becks Crown Bakery.

Next up, our Christmas Inspired Shoot with the super talented Esther Gallarday Photography. It was so difficult to choose photos because they were ALL perfect.  You will see more on our sister site www.pinkpearlsblog.com this winter as we are featuring more of this beauty.

Amazing Vendors for this shoot include Eye Candy Glam, Boho Barbie, Zuzu's Petals, Beck's Crown Bakery, Paper Treasures and the dress is from Old Green Shutters Antiques.

We did the most beautiful Old Hollywood Shoot that year as well.  It was simply stunning and one of my favorite to date.  This is totally my style and I felt right at home with this shoot.  Again, we featured it on Pink Pearls Blog.

Last but not least is a wonderful concept that I was on my "must do" list.  I loved seeing this concept from start to finish and to see Aaron Brown Photography bring it to life.  Also featured Pink Pearls blog.
